Triple X

January 23, 2002

Rammstein's participation in the movie "Triple X" has been confirmed by their management in the Fanarea. The scene where they play Feuer Frei was shot at the beginning of the month. The movie is due out August second, after being bumped back to not compete with the new Austin Powers movie.

More Multimedia

January 20, 2002

Last night I made an MPEG of the Making of the Du riechst so gut '98 Video (42.8 mb) and I uploaded an MPEG of Schwarzes Glas being played live in Vienna and converted it to MP3 (2.2 mb) for those who want it. The lyrics to Schwarzes Glas are a little different than those on the known demo version that is floating around. If you can figure them out, please contact me.

Got a new server - Enjoy

January 18, 2002

Thanks to Macino at Purdue University, I have a server (at least for the moment). I have uploaded the following things for all of you:

Ich Will at the EMAs,
The signing in Mexico (15.7 mb, MPEG) where so many people showed up it had to be canceled,
Psychgotcha in Mexico (27.7 mb, MPEG) where Rammstein played paintball against other people for prizes.

In addition, there is an old Rammstein live show from Dec. 31st, 1994, BEFORE the release of any of their CDs. On this bootleg there are two songs, Biest (Beast) and Jeder lacht (Everyone is laughing), which were never released. Biest contains the word "Tier!" in the chorus, so it perhaps eventually became the song known as "Tier" today, but the lyrics and music are totally different.

The lyrics to Biest are very hard to understand, but here are the ones to Jeder lacht:

Nichts ist für dich
Nichts war für dich
Nichts bleibt für dich
Keiner braucht dich
Ha ha ha ha

Jeder lacht
Jeder lacht - Ja
Jeder lacht
Über dich

Keiner erträgt dich
Und niemand braucht dich
Keiner braucht dich
Doch jeder braucht mich
Ha ha ha ha

Jeder lacht
Jeder lacht - Ja
Jeder lacht
Über dich
Nothing is for you
Nothing was for you
Nothing remains for you
Nobody needs you
Ha ha ha ha

Everyone is laughing
Everyone is laughing - Yeah
Everyone is laughing
At you

Nobody stands you
And no one needs you
Nobody needs you
But everyone needs me
Ha ha ha ha

Everyone is laughing
Everyone is laughing - Yeah
Everyone is laughing
At you

Notice the first three lines, which appeared again around six years later in Adios! As for the rest of the tracks, they are labeled with the names they were called at the time and most have at least slight differences from the versions we know. Ja und nein (Herzeleid) has an extra verse, which was printed in the Rammstein book (although with a slightly different wording), giving the song quite a different feel:

Bewahret einander vor Zweisamkeit
lang ist die Zeit, die ihr gefangen seid
denn wenn euch auch viele Jahre vereinen
einst werden sie wie Ewigkeit scheinen

Bewahret einander vor der Zweisamkeit

Ja und nein!
Protect each other from being a couple
the time is long that you are imprisoned
for when you are united for many years
one day they will seem like eternity

Protect each other from being a couple

Yes and no!

If anyone can figure out any of the other lyrics please contact me!

Thanks to: Luy, Feuerglut, Macino.

Du Hast in How High

January 7, 2002

Apparently "Du Hast" is in the movie How High, although it is not on the soundtrack.

Robert Wolfe writes in:

"It's a film about Method Man and Redman, two rappers, that goto college and bring along a bunch of weed with them. Well, a little more than halfway through the movie, Method Man starts blaring Du Hast on his system in his house. Well, that suprised the hell out of me. Not only did they play it for that scene, but the song continued for at least 2 minutes. Really kicked ass, the only rock music played in that entire damn movie, just happened german."

Thanks to: Robert Wolfe.

Rammstein to do festivals

January 7, 2002

It sounds like Rammstein will be doing some summer festivals in Europe. No real word on which yet, but I will post more when I know more.

Thanks to: Susie.
