NewsForums downMay 28, 2009Apologies for the downtime! Apparently you guys are overloading things again. You really should cut that out. The forums will return soon(ish). Update (June 9): They are back online! Rammstein touring this yearMay 18, 2009The official site has published tour dates for 2009! They will be playing in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, and of course Germany. Interestingly, tickets for German shows will be available on Rammsteinshop.de (and presumably on rammsteinshop.com) only. First part of recordings finished, end phase begunFebruary 19, 2009Not much news at the moment aside from what the official site posts, I'm afraid. Hopefully that will change in the coming months as the album gets closer to being finished! In any case, Rammstein has finished the first part of their recordings for the new album. Mixing is set to begin around the middle of March and will take from six to eight weeks. Apparently the band has consulted orchestra arranger Sven Helbig for the new album as they are considering using strings and choirs (surprise!). Thanks to: Rammstein.com. Clip from drum sessionsNovember 13, 2008Check out Rammstein.com for a clip of Schneider recording drums for the new album. You can even hear some music and vocals in the background! Preproduction of new album finishedNovember 5, 2008After months of silence, the band has begun to surface! They have finished the preproduction of their sixth studio album in Berlin and are now gearing up to fly to meet in San Francisco where the band has rented a studio that they will be working in starting this Sunday. In fact, Schneider is already in Los Angeles to begin preparations for the drum tracks. They are working with producer Jacob Hellner (who has produced all of their albums so far) and his team, which currently includes Ulf Kruckenberg (who has worked with Clawfinger, Apocalyptica Emigrate, etc.) and Florian Ammon (Eminem, Elton John, Lifehouse, many more). Paul and Richard are set to fly there this week and I assume the rest will follow soon as they sequester themselves for the coming weeks. By the way, no, the site hasn't been abandoned. There just hasn't been anything going on that was worth mentioning! First Emigrate singleSeptember 25, 2007As already announced, New York City will be the first single from Emigrate. It will be released in Great Britain on October 15 as a digipack and 7" vinyl. Other release dates have not been confirmed, though it will be available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerand as a digital download as of October 12. The tracklisting:

Rammstein and Emigrate nominated for EMASeptember 14, 2007For the fourteenth MTV Europe Music Awards, Rammstein have been nominated for an award in the category "Best German Act". This alone is nothing new, however Rammstein will have some stiff competition coming from their own ranks — Emigrate is nominated as well! You can vote online and decide which of the acts is more deserving. The awards show will take place on November 1, 2007 in Munich. Thanks to: Alexander.
